Two People are Recovering from Stab Wounds in Courtice
A 20-year-old male and a 21-year-old male are recovering after being stabbed overnight in Courtice.
On Sunday, July 7, 2024 at approximately 2:45 a.m., members from East Division responded to a stabbing call in the area of Wilkins Crescent and Stonefield Street. Officers arrived on scene and located two males suffering from multiple stab wounds. One male was air lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre and the second male was taken via ambulance, also to a Toronto-area trauma centre. Both remain in stable condition.
Two males were taken into custody a short time later without incident.
Elham AHAD-RASSY, age 18 of Clarington has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Weapon – Dangerous to Public Peace.
Mason SMITH, age 21 of Clarington has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Weapon – Dangerous to Public Peace.
Both males have been released on an Undertaking.
