Two Suspects Sought in Oshawa Distraction Theft

Police are looking for two male suspects who stole banking information from an elderly female in Oshawa.

On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, an elderly female attended a grocery store in the area of Taunton Road East and Wilson Road North.  When the female returned to her vehicle, she was approached by a male suspect who said he was from out of town and needed help with directions on his phone.  During this time the suspect discreetly removed bank cards from the victim’s purse.  Cash was later withdrawn from the victim’s account without her knowledge.

Further investigation revealed two males were involved in the distraction theft.

The first suspect is described as: male, White, with a black moustache and black goatee beard. He was wearing a black baseball hat, black sunglasses, a grey jacket, and a black shirt.

The second suspect is described as: male, White, with a large build, a black moustache, and a black goatee beard.  He was wearing a red New York Yankees baseball hat, and black sunglasses.
