UPDATE #1 - Male Recovering after being Shot in Caesarea

A male is facing charges in relation to a shooting in Caesarea on July 6, 2024, that left a male with life-altering injuries.

On November 21, 2024, members of the North Division Criminal Investigations Branch, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU) and K9 Unit, executed a searched warrant at a residence in the area of Albion Road and Martin Grove Road, in Toronto.  A male was located in the residence and taken into custody without incident.

Two additional suspects, who are currently in custody at a Toronto detention centre, have also been identified.

Kwabena DUODU, age 21 from Toronto is charged with: Aggravated Assault, Forcible Confinement, Point Firearm, Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm – No Licence, Utter Threats, Occupy Motor Vehicle with Firearm, and Careless Use/Handle/Store of Firearm.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Male Recovering after being Shot in Caesarea

A 26-year-old male victim is recovering after being shot at a home in Caesarea.

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at approximately 3:55 a.m., members from multiple divisions responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Summit Drive and Cedar Grove Drive.  Once on scene officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was transported to a local area hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains in life-threatening condition.
