UPDATE #1 Male Suffers Serious Injuries in Single Motor Vehicle Collision
A male has been charged after the completion of a collision investigation that began in July, 2024.
On Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of North Division responded to the report of a single motor vehicle collision on Uxbridge Concession Road 7, south of Chalk Lake Road, in Uxbridge. A white GMC Sierra, driven by a 47-year-old male, was travelling southbound when it lost control, failed to negotiate the curve, entered the east ditch, and struck some trees. The driver was extracted by Uxbridge Fire Services and airlifted via Air Ornge to a Toronto area trauma centre.
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, members of the Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) concluded their investigation and charged the involved driver.
Christopher RANSOME, age 47 from Keswick is charged with: Impaired Operation of a Conveyance, and Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Exceed.
He was released on an Undertaking.
