UPDATE #1 Serious Injury Collision

Police have concluded an investigation that left a driver with serious injuries.  A 24-year-old driver is now facing charges.

On Saturday July 20, 2024 at approximately 6:55 p.m., members from North Division responded to a collision involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Regional Road 57 and Nestleton Road in the Township of Scugog. The motorcycle struck the rear right corner of the Chevrolet pickup, ejecting the 65-year-old male from the motorcycle.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a Toronto area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

Nicholous SEENEY, age 24 from Oshawa is charged with: Careless Driving Cause Bodily Harm, and Operate Unsafe Motor Vehicle.

He was issued a provincial summons for these charges.
