UPDATE #2 Double Homicide in Bowmanville

Police have arrested and charged three individuals with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of a married Bowmanville couple.

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at approximately 12:45 a.m., three masked suspects, who were armed, arrived at an address on Crombie Street in Bowmanville.  The suspects entered the residence and shot both victims multiple times at close range.  Both victims died instantly. Ms. ALZUBAIDY was six months pregnant at the time of her murder.

The Durham Regional Police Service Homicide Unit has arrested three parties responsible for the murders of Aram KAMEL and Rafad ALZUBAIDY. 

Illia AYO, age 22 of No Fixed Address is charged with First Degree Murder x2.

Abdinisar ADEN age 22 of Toronto is charged with First Degree Murder x2.

Emmanuel EZBON, age 21 of Toronto is charged with First Degree Murder x2.

All three have been held for a bail hearing.
