Weapons and Drugs Seized After Impaired Arrest in Whitby
A quantity of drugs and weapons have been seized after a male was arrested for impaired driving in Whitby.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., members of Central West Division on proactive patrol initiated a traffic stop in the area of Brock Street South and Arthur Street. While speaking to the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The driver was taken into custody for impaired operation without incident. During a search of the vehicle a replica firearm, a prohibited spring-loaded knife, and a quantity of drugs were seized.
Deshaun Delano GOSS, age 30 from Ajax is charged with: Impaired Operation, Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), and Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon.
He was held for a bail hearing.
