Woman Dies After Vehicle Crashes into Bus Shelter in Pickering
A pedestrian is deceased after a vehicle collides with a bus shelter in Pickering.
On Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m., members from West Division responded to a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians at Kingston Road and Brock Road. A white Chevrolet Cruze was travelling westbound when it was involved in a collision with two other westbound vehicles. The Chevrolet Cruze then left the roadway, colliding with a bus shelter and two pedestrians, before entering the roadway again and striking a third westbound vehicle.
A 31-year-old female was being transported by EMS to a waiting Air Ornge when she was pronounced deceased.
A 26-year-old male was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
All of the involved drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Members of the DRPS Collision Investigations Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The roads in the area were closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
