Women's Symposium Reaches Recruit Hopefuls

Recruiting hopefuls joined officers from across the service at the DRPS Women's Recruiting Symposium.

For the last two years we have only been able to host virtual symposiums and this was the first in-person women’s recruiting symposium since 2019.  

Members from various units such as the Public Safety Unit, K-9 and investigative units met with women who have expressed interest in becoming police officers. The event aimed to educate and prepare them for the application process.

A panel discussion was held with female members on how policing has affected their lives. The Human Resources Unit also conducted mock interviews.
