YIP sets sights on new fundraising goal

The Youth in Policing (YIP) 2022 Summer students have set an ambitious goal to raise another $15,000 for the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.

Established in 1997, the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre has touched the lives of thousands across Canada by creating spaces to support anyone impacted by cancer. Over the years, they continue to educate the public through emotional support groups, healing gardens, wig boutiques, culinary classes and much more for all age demographics.

YIP adopted this fundraiser during the Summer 2021 Initiative and since then, has successfully raised over $15,000 towards cancer research and support. Students who are a part of the 2022 Summer Initiative have big plans to further push the agenda of what is possible when youth get together to create change and support those struggling with cancer.

With this Initiative being the first in-person one since the beginning of the pandemic, the students plan to break previous Initiative fundraising records and raise more funds than ever before. YIP is seeking your help to support those impacted by cancer as we collect monetary donations. YIP will continue to educate others as we promote the Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.
