Youth Charged for Possessing Loaded Gun in Ajax

A male has been arrested after being found in possession of a loaded gun in Ajax.

On Wednesday, June 19, 2024, members of West Division received information that a male was in possession of a firearm at the Super 8 Motel, located at 210 Westney Road South.  Officers located the suspect at the motel and took him into custody without incident.  A loaded Glock handgun was found in his possession.

A 17-year-old male from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Loaded Restricted/Prohibited Firearm, and Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm Knowingly Not Holding a Licence.

He was held for a bail hearing.
