Youth Invited to IMPACT Forum Focusing on Perseverance
The DRPS Youth in Policing (YIP) program invites youth (13 to 24 years of age) to join us for a day of empowerment where attendees are encouraged to make an impact and initiate change in their lives. YIP will be hosting the 3rd annual IMPACT (Inspire, Motivate, Persevere, Create, Transcend) Youth Forum on Saturday, January 21, 2023, and will be running a hybrid model to allow for both in-person and virtual participation.
The IMPACT Youth Forum is a one-day event focused on bringing together youth across Durham Region and beyond. The forum will feature keynote speakers, workshops, youth-led activities, and numerous opportunities for participant engagement throughout the day.
This year’s theme is perseverance and the forum’s goal is to teach youth skills to help them persevere through difficult times and adversity. Attendees can earn up to six volunteer hours for both in-person and virtual attendance.
